Juventus: Come Back Home Paul!

Sunday August 7 2016

Reports have suggested United are ready to pay a world-record fee of around £100million for France international Pogba, who has been on holiday in the United States after Euro 2016.

A deal appeared close on Friday when Jose Mourinho said a big signing could be expected over the next few days, while reports in the Italian press have suggested Pogba will complete the formalities of the move today, after arriving in Manchester on Saturday.

However Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has been quoted by Corriere dello Sport as saying: "I've summoned Pogba together with (Patrice) Evra for tomorrow night. He has training here in Vinovo on Monday."

Allegri added: "It makes no sense at the moment talking about potential replacements for Pogba because, right now, Pogba is a Juventus player."

Mourinho added fuel to the fire when he said a big signing could be expected over the next few days and he mentioned trying to "close our market" before August 14, and that the club are "going to get a very good midfield player", adding: "Pogba is a Juventus player until officially he isn't."
