No Pogba Offer

Wednesday June 22 2016

Juventus have confirmed we have received no offers for Paul Pogba, and also said we only expect Dani Alves to arrive from Barcelona.

With Pogba's agent yesterday claiming that first stage negotiations had been opened with Real Madrid over Pogba's signing this summer - whilst stressing a deal was from done or particularly down the line - Juventus chief executive Guiseppe Marotta has been quoted by Goal as saying that no offer has come in and as far as he's concerned, Pogba is a player for the 'present and future' of the club.

'We have not received any offers. He is a fundamental and indispensable player for the present and future of Juventus.'

Following the signing of Miralem Pjanic the other day, he did go on to say that the club were very hopeful of concluding a deal with Dani Alves that would see him arrive as a free agent following the expiry of his contract at the Nou Camp.

With media speculation linking us with an interest in Javier Mascherano and Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, he was less hopeful of deals for those being concluded with how things stood at this moment in time.

'Dani Alves will be in Turin in the beginning of next week, but at the moment both Andre Gomes and Javier Mascherano look like utopia for us.'

I'm imagining that certainly won't stop the speculation about both players and their futures though.
