Juventus 2016 form unmatched across Europe

Tuesday April 12 2016

Since the start of the year, Massimilliano Allegri’s side have amassed 43 points in 15 matches, a feat which no other team in Europe’s major leagues can compete with.

With 14 victories and one draw since the turn of the year, Juventus currently hold the highest points tally in Europe’s major leagues for 2016.

The Bianconeri have been unstoppable in their quest for a fifth successive Scudetto and have only once come away from a match with fewer than three points, against Bologna in February.

Luis Enrique’s Barcelona have totalled the second highest number of points and yet, their total of 38 is still five off that of the Old Lady’s 45, demonstrating just how dominant Juventus have been in Serie A.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid sit below the Catalan giants, having accumulated 36 points in La Liga since the new year, and Juventus’ title rivals Napoli occupy fourth spot alongside Atletico Madrid with 35 points.

Further down this table consisting of a selection of Europe’s best teams, Leicester City and PSG both have 32 points to their name, and Luciano Spalletti’s Roma have racked up 31.

Such is the extent of Juventus’ dominance in Italy, in almost five seasons the Bianconeri have gained 86 more domestic points than closest rivals Napoli, and 100 more than Roma.
