win With Higuain Taste!
Sunday August 21 2016
Juventus have Miralem Pjanic and Gonzalo Higuain on the bench, while Fiorentina pick the 18-year-old son of Enrico Chiesa.
This grudge match kicks off in Turin at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT)
The Bianconeri begin the season aiming for a record sixth consecutive Serie A title, something no club has ever achieved before.
Max Allegri has lost Paul Pogba, but arguably has a much stronger squad than last year thanks to the arrival of Pjanic, Higuain, Marko Pjaca and Medhi Benatia.
Pjanic is not 100 per cent fit after a knock in Wednesday’s friendly, so Mario Lemina is chosen in his place, as Claudio Marchisio is still a long-term absentee.
Higuain is also on the bench, as he arrived for pre-season training visibly overweight, so Paulo Dybala is partnered by Mario Mandzukic.
Alex Sandro and Dani Alves take the wings of a 3-5-2 formation.
Fiorentina had a complicated campaign and lost their last five summer friendlies, the most recent of which saw Borja Valero stretchered off in tears.
Because of that sprained ankle, the Spaniard is not even on the bench tonight.
Josip Ilicic gets the nod rather than Giuseppe Rossi behind striker Nikola Kalinic, but the big shock is 18-year-old Federico Chiesa – the son of legendary hitman Enrico Chiesa – getting his Serie A debut.
Also on the bench is the teenage son of Romania hero Gheorghe Hagi.
