Reports Say: Lichtsteiner is not happy at Juventus!

Tuesday August 23 2016

The Swiss Express isn’t happy about being down in the pecking order.

With Juan Cuadrado due to sign again with the Bianconeri. Also, the club is not willing to pay Lichtsteiner the requested €3 million wage bill in a new contract.

Put the two together, and you get a player who may want to consider all his options.

According to La Stampa, in light of Cuadrado’s approach and Dani Alves becoming the de facto starter, the chances of Lichtsteiner leaving before August 31st are increasing.

His current contract expires at the end of the year, therefore if Juve want any compensation it will have to be given sooner rather than later.

In recent weeks, English media had linked the Juventus right back to a switch to Stamford Bridge. Which would make sense given the Conte connection as well as the need for a new right back for the Blues.

And Also Premium Sport reports that Dortmund are interested in bringing Lichtsteiner to the Bundesliga, and have submitted an official transfer bid.

It’s not yet clear whether the Bianconeri are open to selling the 32-year-old, who has spent five seasons with the club and won the Scudetto in each year.
