Higuain nets first Juventus goal!

Thursday August 18 2016

Juventus‘ traditional pre-season match at the Villar Perosa training ground saw Gonzalo Higuain net his first goal for the club on Wednesday.

Every summer the Bianconeri send their A and B teams out to do battle, with this year’s contest taking place in front of close to 10,000 people.

There were some concerns just 13 minutes into the match however, as Miralem Pjanic limped off the pitch while clutching his left thigh.

While initial reports suggest it isn’t anything serious, Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping the Bosnian is available for Sunday’s Serie A opener against Fiorentina.

After Marko Pjaca impressed by hitting the crossbar and sending a diving header wide of the mark, it was Higuain who gained everyone’s attention by netting his first goal in a Juventus shirt off a corner.

The second half kicked off with a Luca Coccolo own goal to give the A team a 2-0 advantage, before the match was eventually called off, as it traditionally is, when fans stormed the pitch in the 57th minute to get close to their favourite stars.
