Juventus return not ruled out by Sydney's Alessandro Del Piero
Tuesday April 15 2014
Alessandro Del Piero has affirmed his intentions to re-evaluate his future at current club Sydney FC next month, with a possible return to Juventus on the cards for the Italian.
The 39-year-old joined the Hyundai A-League outfit in September 2012, and was named captain of the side for the start of the current season.
However, the former Juventus star is unsure where his future lies beyond the end of his two-year deal, with possible moves back to Italy - and a return to Turin in particular - having been mooted.
"I don't know what I'll do next season," said the Italy legend.
"I'll evaluate at the end of the season. My hearts says for me to play, but I must also listen to the legs.
"This will be the big question of my summer. I have a meeting with the club president at the end of the season. Their one will be the first offer I listen to."
When asked whether a return to Juventus was still a viable option, Del Piero, who has scored 10 goals in 22 league games so far this season, replied, smiling: "Only as a player."
