Medhi Benatia Set For Juventus Medical Tomorrow

Thursday July 14 2016

Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia set to complete a return back to Italy with Juventus.

The German and Italian champions have reached an agreement over the transfer of Medhi Benatia, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The negotiations between all parties have been on-going for some time now, with A.C. Milan attempting to hijack the Moroccan’s transfer to the Bianconeri. However, the Rossoneri have come up short as Benatia is set to undergo his Juventus medical tomorrow. The deal, per Fabrizio Romano, is said to be in the form of a loan with an obligation to buy in 2017.

There are still a few details to be finalized before the transfer becomes official, but that is merely a minor hurdle separating the 29-year old from reuniting with his former Roma teammate, Miralem Pjanic, in Turin.

With Benatia set to join forces with Juventus, the five-time defending champions of Italy continue to dominate the summer market having already added Dani Alves and Pjanic. Croatian Marko Pjaca and Gabriel “Gabigol” Barbosa could also don the white and black kit as negotiations for their signatures accelerate. Regardless, Juventus continue to establish dominance on Italian football.
